Mietta is a Naarm/Melbourne-based freelance book designer specialising in illustrated food and lifestyle titles, as well as cover design.

She has worked in the publishing industry for many years, including in-house at HarperCollins Publishers, Hardie Grant Publishing and Bonnier Publishing.

Mietta was shortlisted for Emerging Designer of the Year at both the 70th and 71st Australian Book Design Awards. She served as Vice-President of ABDA from 2021–2023 and currently serves as President.
